The Challenge

When Avilan first came to Asendia in 2011, they required worldwide daily distribution of consumer orders of health supplements, including supplying packaging, online management of 100,000 stock items, printed dispatch paperwork and online reporting.

 

The Solution

Asendia provides storage and fulfilment at its 60,000 sq. ft. facility in Bedford, processing approx. 30,000 orders per month to the UK and globally. We also provide print services.

Significant cost savings were achieved using profiled services and our Royal Mail Tracked contract, rather than using Royal Mail itself. Recently, we have moved to Hermes Tracked for further cost savings, with Colissimo to France and ParcelPlus to Germany and the Netherlands. As Avilan’s business grew, it benefitted from Asendia’s size – we are able to manage volumes and offer cost-effective fulfilment and mailing solutions – and from our global presence when Avilan expanded into Asia. With quick delivery paramount, Avilan set up an account with Asendia’s business in Singapore, rather than shipping from the USA or the UK.
